American rapper, singer, songwriter, record producer, businessman, and fashion designer, Kanye Omari West, has announced the third listening party for his upcoming “Donda” album.
West was initially expected to release the album after the August 5 Atlanta event, but that did not happen. There continues to be no release date for “Donda.”
Even if Kanye West had released DONDA after the first Atlanta listening party a few weeks ago, it would have been a turbulent release, but it didn’t come out. Instead a couple of listening sessions have happened, both with the intention of the album coming out right afterwards, with no music release.
Today, after quite a while of no news and speculation from even people involved in the album’s recording process, Kanye West has announced that next Thursday, there will be a third public listening event for the album. This one will take place at Soldier Field in Chicago at 10PM EST, with tickets available on the 20th.
West held a public listening party for the “Donda” album on July 22 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The event was publicized in a Beats Studio Buds ad that aired during the NBA finals.
The initial listening party ended up breaking Apple Music livestreaming records with 3.3 million viewers tuning in. Even more Apple Music listeners participated in the second streaming event, which was held in Atlanta on August 5.
However judging from experience, it’s probably best to have no expectations about the album coming out at this point.
